Mobile Medical Van
The Mission started free mobile health care service in 1998 to provide medical relief to the deprived segments of society around Chandigarh and Haryana. The work is being carried on in Indira Colony and Colony No. 4 in Chandigarh, Rajiv Colony near Panchkula and in villages around Nandpur and Pattan in Haryana.
Medical consultation, medicines including tablets, capsules, ointments, eye drops and injections are provided free of cost.
The devoted and self-sacrificing services of eminent doctors as well as lay devotees has enabled this Mobile Medical Van to grow into a very useful medical relief service.
A monastic member looks after the of the Mobile Van, with the help of about 6 Doctors, 4 Volunteers and 2 staff. Their Self-sacrificing service is helping its smooth function. On an average, 100 patients per day avail the medical facilities. The Doctors play a major role in addressing many issues arising out of Health problems which include awareness creation, early screening of patients, treatment and referral to Specialized Hospitals when required.
