Gita Mahotsav
The International Gita Mahotsav is celebrated every year at Kurukshetra in the month of November/December to commemorate birth of Shrimad Bhagwad Gita, the sacred scripture containing invaluable advice of Lord Krishna to Arjuna, delivered in the battlefield of Kurukshetra, on the first day of famous 18-day Mahabharata war.
During this one week fair, the Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chandigarh organizes a book stall at the Holy Brahmasarovar.
