150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations
The 150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated from 2010 to 2014. Vivek Vahini, a Mobile Book Van and Vivek Chetana, a statue van of Swami Vivekananda were launched. Swamiji's statue went through Chandigarh and different cities of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Some of the cities covered were - Amritsar, Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Patiala, Panchkula, Ambala and Solan. Discources on Life and Teachings of Swami Vivekananda were given in various schools and colleges as part of the celebrations. Swamiji's message of Nation Building was received with great enthusiasm by the students and teachers everywhere.
